TEEN MINISTRY

The Youth Ministry here at Mt. Zion Baptist Church offers a place for teenagers in grades seventh through twelfth to have an opportunity to study the Bible with other like-minded teenagers. Because God expects the very best from our Christian lives, we strive to offer every available opportunity for the teenagers to be involved in the ministries of the church.

The Youth Department includes teenagers and friends from St. Clair and several surrounding communities. We are pleased to have young people from church families, as well as those from families that do not attend. Some are from our Christian academy; others from home school families; and some attend public school. Many of our teens are actively serving the Lord in various ministries.

One of our objectives in the Youth Department is to complement the teaching that is going on in the family and in the church. We never want to pull teens away from parents, but always want to direct them toward their parents and their godly counsel.

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning, teenagers from every school in the area meet for an exciting time of Christian fellowship. At 10:00am, we begin with an exciting rally consisting of songs and games, followed by a study of practical lessons from God's Word.

Missions

Not only does our church financially support missionaries all around the world, but our teenagers also take an active role in this missionary endeavor. Each week, we hear reports of the work of missions from the missionary letter that we read during Sunday School class. Locally, our teenagers meet each Wednesday for an organized time to go tell others about their need of salvation. Not only are they involved locally, but they take missions trips to visit the cultures of some of the missionaries we support.

Activities

All year long there are activites for the teens to be involved in such as youth conferences, camps, Six Flags, and baseball games. Every month, there are activties to attend which encourage fellowship with other Christian teens from the area.
