BUS MINISTRY

“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Luke 14:23

For nearly thirty years the Mt. Zion Baptist Church has been using buses to bring people to church from the surrounding communities. For some churches, the bus ministry has been a “fad” that they have tried, but we see it as a God-given tool to help us reach the people Jesus died to save. Many hundreds of people have heard the gospel and many have been saved as a direct result of this wonderful ministry. Presently, Mt. Zion is running four buses in our area. One bus covers the St. Clair area and three others go to Union, Pacific and Villa Ridge. We are blessed with an outstanding group of dedicated and caring workers, without which this ministry would not be possible. We here at Mt. Zion count it a privilege to provide a way for men, women, boys, and girls to come to Sunday School and church. Every month we bus in hundreds of folks who desire to hear the Gospel taught and preached. While en route to and from church, we provide an exciting program for those riding. The program consists of singing, Bible lessons, games, testimonies, and memory verses. The membership of Mt. Zion Baptist Church believes in reaching out to those in its surrounding community through this marvelous avenue of buses. Their love for children is a testimony to the generosity and compassion of the Body of Christ.
