Mt. Zion Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church with a history of vibrant ministry in Franklin County, Missouri. Mt. Zion is a friendly church with a multi-faceted approach to fulfilling the commands of Christ. In the following paragraphs we would like to give you a brief introduction to some important aspects of our ministry.

Perhaps above all else, you will find a strong emphasis on Bible study and the Word of God. Practical and helpful Bible sermons are a part of each service. In addition to the worship services, individual and small group Bible studies and discipleship classes are available. Children’s church services and Sunday School classes provide exciting opportunities for children learn and love the Bible.

The worship services at Mt. Zion reflect the priority the Bible places on honoring and praising God in song and music. The church choir, congregational worship, orchestra, and singing groups combine to glorify God and edify believers.

For almost thirty years Mt. Zion has made a Christian education available for kindergarten through high school students by virtue of the Cornerstone Baptist Academy. The Christian school provides a Christ-centered education, complementing the training children receive from their families and the other ministries of Mt. Zion.

As with any true New Testament body of believers, outreach and missions are a major part of the Mt. Zion ministry. This includes weekly services in several jails and prisons, Bible studies in nursing homes and public schools, a weekly addiction treatment program, visitation in surrounding communities, and a bus ministry that brings people to church services every week.  In addition to numerous missionary projects in America, scores of missionaries are supported throughout the world.
